Professionals' strategies?

Strategies ...

and then you mention 'systems'. They may use a 'system' to
judging banking and/or for kicking at balls, but other than that
I don't know what you mean.

As far as strategies, theirs is always to play the best they can,
to take advantage of their opponents 'weak spots' of their game
(like if their opponent can not 'kick' very good, to leave them
shots where they have to kick at them, and thereby getting
a ball in hand), and to try to keep theri opponents from using
their strengths of their game.

You would learn more about strategy by reading
"The Art of War" by Sun Tzu than I could ever relate to you
in this forum. He is one of the most acclaimed strategists
that has ever lived.

Too bad HANNIBAL (no, not hannibal lechter silly!!!) never wrote a book on strategy!!! :(

1. i've heard from hustlers here in my 'hall that follow, draw, and center ball are all you really need in order to play pool. if you must use english use only 1/8-1/4 tip of english. 1/8 -1/4 are all you need to make the cue ball dance around the table.

2. flicking the wrist adds a whole lot of power to a shot. whether it be a draw shot or the break, wrist flicking adds 2x more power to the shot.

3. short bridge (7-9 inches) in combination of a very long follow through (near the joint) also adds power to the stroke, if you choose not to flick your wrist.

4. reading the rack backwards is best applied in all rotational type of games.
reading the rack forward is best used in 8-ball, str8 pool and one pocket.
