ProLine table

Our son has an opportunity to buy a used 8' Proline table for $500.00. Is this a good quality table. It looks new but I know nothing about the speed of the rails, pockets, shelf depth etc. Any help would be appreciated.
It looks like the Winchester model

Jump on this table quick!

The founder of Proline used to work for Brunswick. He didn't like the way Brunswick did a few things so he started his own company.

They are made in America, and the one you are probably looking at was made in Florida. Mine was made in North Carolina since they moved their shop last year.

The slate is true 1" thick slate so it will play great. I can't remember what the rails are, but they play great as well.

The pockets are RC pockets, and they are #6 pockets.

Simply put for the money they are a great table at a great buy. If I knew anyone looking for a table I wouldn't hesitate to tell them to buy a Proline.

The cost your son is getting on it is superb. I would say go for it all the way and put some Simmonis 860 on it.

Everyone comments on how good my table plays. There is only one pool hall in town that has any tables that play as good as mine.

Mine is Solid OAK with 1" thick 3 piece slate. Mine is the Sorrell Model with the Ball in Claw legs.

I have had it up now for almost two years, and it is still level and plays wonderful. If you even remotely like Brunswick then you will like this table. In my opinion they are better than Brunswick.

GO FOR IT!!!!

RUBBER
Rubber is the most critical aspect of the rail system. In order for a pool table to be tournament approved, the Billiard Congress of America requires that “Rubber cushions should be triangular in shape and molded with conventional K-66 profile with a base height of 1 3/16” and a nose height of 1”, with control fabric molded to the top and base area of the cushion.” Look for all of the following features to be sure you are buying the best table on the market.

That is strait from proline's website

Thank you Txplshrk. I will show him your comments as he is home for a few days. And yes, the one he is looking at was made in Florida near where he lives. Your coment is very helpful thanks again.

The ones made in Florida were awesome. I got one of the first one off of the NC line, and they had to redo some things in order for me to be happy with it.

I am really happy with it now, but I was really pissed when it first came in! They got all of their kinks worked out of the new factory now though.

If you want to know more or have questions just pm me and I can send you all my phone number, or we can chat via PM.

Do you know if it is oak or maple?

Not that it matters much for $500!

You can get Simmonis for Under $200 for that table and put it on yourself, and that is a great table for $700!

Jamie is taking a nap just now after his flight but I will tell him when he gets up and he may have some questions for you.
