I bought a Stinger Jump/Break over a year ago from the Billiard Warehouse. I didn't keep a receipt or do anything smart. Eventually I wanted my local cuemaker, Mike Pancerny, to clean the chalk off the ferrule that I couldn't remove. He chucked it up in the lathe and promptly told me that the ferrule was cracked in two places. I immediately told Mike to change the ferrule. Smart cue repair man that he is, Mike knew that wasn't a good idea. He told me that the tip and ferrule extend down into the shaft somehow, and that is all about the Stinger's patent. The next day I called the Billiard Warehouse and Greg and Paul told me that my Stinger was guaranteed for life. "Just send it directly to Jerico Cues" they said. Next I called Jerico and talked to Jerry Powers, the owner and designer of the Stinger. Jerry told me to send it and that he'd fix everything and turn it around quickly for me.
Fast forward six months or more. I FINALLY got around to sending the shaft. I included a letter and sent an email explaining and reminding Jerry who I was. After a week I had no response. I was a little bit irritated, and lo and behold, I came home from work and I had a notice that I had missed an insured delivery of a parcel ! The sender was "Powers". I thought, hmmmm....***POWERS***, who would that be ?
. Ok, OK, I'm getting old
. The shaft was back in a WEEK ! Cleaned and with a new ferrule and tip ! Just like NEW !
That's how every manufacturer should run his business ! I just saw recently that Jerry is an instructor at the Cue Tech Pool School as well. He makes custom cues. He makes Stingers. He provides PERFECT customer service. Why can't everyone ? I give Jerry Powers and Jerico Cues my highest recommendation. The cue breaks and jumps like a monster ! It looks GREAT ! Now we know that his customer service can't be beat. Buy one. You'll love it...Tom
