Provenance of Independant Supply Co., Columbus, OH

Recently picked up what appears to be a very old (and solidly built) 3 piece 1 1/2" slate 9' table in the sticks in Ohio. A sticker under the foot rail says it was made by "Independent Supply Co., Columbus, OH, by S. Neal Mallock". I've looked pretty hard online and can't seem to find a single reference to pool tables made by him, although there was one post on this forum referencing "Independent Supply Co." from Columbus. I've never heard of these tables. The plate on the head rail certainly looks original, and all of the hardware looks to be hand-milled. I don't really care how much it's worth or anything, I was just trying to find some (any?) information on the manufacturer (curiosity, I guess). Anyone have a similar table?

I have one. I use it in my garage and have for a few years now. It plays better then the local barboxes. Mine was restored in the mid 80s. I don't even know what's original, but the pockets definitely aren't. Take this for what little its worth, but I have a buddy who brought over some spare brunswick emblems and one of them fit right on mine. I know indepent billiard supply didn't make the tables, that's about all the info I have though. I was told either brunswick or national more then likely on original builder, but nothing is concrete. I paid 200$ for mine and it came with centennials and some house cues. I got a few of those old "breaker balls" as well. I love old pool stuff so I was really happy with the deal.

A few years ago there was an estate sale and one of these tables came up but it was a lot more ornate and pretty cleaned up.It strongly resembled a brunswick, but I can't remember the exact model.
