Putting on some weight

Post this question in the Ask a Cuemaker forum. Probably any of the makers who post here can give you your options. Simplest answer if cost is no object may be a combination of a weight bolt and a heavier joint and pin, designed to offset each other so as to not change the balance point. Ask an expert, though.
Put lead tape on the ferrule, or replace it with a SS ferrule.
No I am just kidding.
What kind of cue is it? If it is a Viking or a Joss or a cue with a similar weight bolt system adding 1 oz will barely change the balance point. If it's another kind there still may be hope depending on how deep it is bored and threaded. So bottom line what kind of cue, pics would be helpful and we can go from there.
Thanks for the responses. Its gonna be more complicated than I thought. I honestly wouldnt like to mess with the cue seeing as how it would probably be expensive just to get that 1 extra ounce. And actually I tried playing with a wrist weight to see what would happen and what happened was I felt like a douche.
I guess the best and easiest solution would be for me to use the cue being too light as a reason to convince the wife that I need to buy a new one.

You might want to try a rubber wrap. You can get them at Mullers. They slide on your wrap with the aid of talcum power which helps. This will add weight an is long enough to distribute it out. Worth a try an gives a good feel. Worst could happen you could blow two bucks. 
Put the butt on a lathe and bore into the middle of the butt.
Use Tungsten balls/powder and expoy and back plug with hard wood stock
I was also thinking you could have the shaft collar replaced with stainless steel. If the butt collar is SS, the ss on ss gives an unbelievably solid hit. Again, what kind of cue is it???

The thing is that I could get someone add a weight bolt but then i would have to do something else to balance it out. Seems like there is no simple solution so it would be would probably be silly to mess with it just to get another ounce out of it. Thanks for the responses guys. I think Ill just leave it as it is.

How much do you know about what kind of weight bolt it takes? Do you know what size and thread? Have you stuck something down the hole to see how deep it is? It could be pretty deep in which case you may be able to add 1 oz without changing the balance point much at all.
Well, I wouldn't call this ingenious, but it's something I did for a while 20 or more years ago. I had a real light cue and wanted to try something heavier. So I wrapped some lead tape around the cue at its balance point. This is the type of lead tape you can find (or at least used to be able to find) in golf equipment stores, because some golfers fine-tuned their clubs with it. I played with the lead-taped cue for quite a while -- long enough to decide to buy a heavier cue!
The hole in the butt goes in a good ways but nowhere close to reaching the balance point. I would like to ask a cue maker to help with it, but there just isnt anyone that around here in Japan that I would trust with that sort of thing. Honestly i am perfectly happy with the cue the way it is and I just posted in the off chance that someone might have an easy fix which clearly doesnt exist.
