Question about a unique(?) style of points on a pool cue.

I seen this cue online today, and thought the points looked unique.

Are they unique, or how common are points like this, in cues?

Do you know of any cue makers who do points like this?

By the way, I know I am a fool, lol, so please be nice in your replies.

I posted this in “Ask the Cuemaker”, https://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=513818. According to the cuemaker who responded, these points are called “spiral staircase points”, but I would like more information if ya’ll can help me.

I have been given a cue deliberately constructed with eight points, with veneers, in two patterns, all with substantially different lengths:

Pattern A: Overall lengths 22, 21, 19, and 20.5 cm
Pattern B: Overall lengths 13.5, 11.5, 12, and 13.5 cm

I've had many cues in my hands over a long time -- I know them. This is a good cue, produced by...
