Question about Break Cue

I know that there are countless threads on this forum about the best break cues on the market. I know that these opinions are biased and subject to opinion. Now with that being said, I'm on the market for a new break cue. I currently am using a McDermott Stinger limited edition, with a stinger phenolic tip. I'm torn between two options: 1. Predator Bk3
2. 2015 Mike Gulyassy break/jump cue. There are plenty of reviews on the bk3, but I don't find as many reviews on the Mike Gulyassy break/jump cue. Are the current Mike Gulyassy b/j cues as good as his sledgehammer series? Are the new cues called the anivil? Please give me some details (for those who know what they are talking about) on which cue is the best bang for my buck.

You got the cue, got the same one put a dbl soaked elk master pressed to max, and I am non the happier...ie change tip second try break change...

You already have a nice break cue, put more time in practicing your break and everything will be fine.
Last night I was playing with somebody, he had a cheap 30 $ break/jump cue, he tried my Mezz Power Break 2 cue and like it and told me that he will probably buy a new break cue. He was racking and I took his cue. I breaked and made couple balls and stopped cue ball in the middle of the table. He said Yes your cue break well, I show him the cue.

Break cue

I have tried numerous break cues from high dolla Mezz to cheap J & J break/jump cues. I have settled on a Samsara at this time. It must be the right one since I sold one Samsara, tried a few others and then went back.

You will find as many opinions on break cues as you find on playing cues. I partially agree with the poster that basically says to work on your break and ignore the cue. My only addition is to try different tips. I have but always end up back with the Samsara break tip no matter what cue.

The real questions are:
- what do you dislike about your current breaker?
- what do you want to achieve?

You might also try different weights. I seem not able to break with something less than 20oz and 21oz works best.
It needs to be stiff, long (30" shaft if not more) and forward-balanced, rest doesn't matter. 13mm tip, will take sturdy leather any day.

Cheers.
