Do you know of any nice production cues that use the 5/16 X 18 joint?

I think the actual cue construction would have more to do with the hit, for instance im thinking a full spliced blank would make a cue hit more like a sneaky, than just the joint. You might wanna ask the cuemakers section, they could give you better guidance maybe

I'm specifically NOT looking for a Meucci. Looking for a butt with a sneaky pete type hit, without the sneaky pete look.

Flex said:I mentioned the 5/16 X 18 joint because I have several shafts that are that size, and want to stick with it. I have two of them that are great and don't want to change them. Going to a different joint means a whole different setup, and I'm happy with what I have insofar as shafts and tips go. Just looking for a good hitting and beautiful butt to put those shafts onThanks for the suggestion, though.

Unfortunately, the 5/16x18 joint seems to be looked down upon by the pool playing public.
Egg McDogit said:Flex - you're in luck. I have 2 sticks that I'm selling that use a 5/16 x 18 flat faced joint, although they're not high end. I think you've seen both.
1) black budweiser cue - comes with a graphite shaft that's great for breaking
2) cue with the water in the butt with the little red floating dice with wood shaft
Let me know if you're interested. The budweiser butt hits really good when used with a decent shaft.
