This will be my fist time attending an event like this. The question I have is that I have 2 boys ages 8 and 9. They love to play pool at home and are getting fairly decent at it too. Would the atmosphere be ok for two boys of this age to attend the dcc because they really want to go with me to watch. I'm not going to play in any of the tournments. I just wanted to watch some great pool playing for a day and meet Mike Johson of Jensen Cues there to pick up my new stick!

Thanks Bryan

I noticed a lot of children at the DCC last year. Well, more then any other tournament that I have ever attended. They would not be the only ones, but taking them is always at parents discretion. If you are just going for a day to sweat some matches and they can and would want to watch with you then I think it should be fine.;)

I don't think that you'll have any problems. I've never seen anything there that I haven't seen at any pool room. It just happens on a much larger scale.

As long as you don't mind if they hear a little off color language, once in a while, you shouldn't have any problems.
I believe the DCC is now non-smoking, in the tournament room, so that shouldn't be a problem.
