Question On Leveling

I need some advice on leveling my GC2 table, I have about a 2 inch drop from the head end to the foot end, should I use shims under the frame where it attache's to the leg base or just use the adjustable feet, any advice welcome.

I would split the difference with shims under the frame and use the leg levelers. You don't want to crank the levelers all the way out.

Level

I had a similar situation with my 8' gold crown II. Cuephoric put plywood squares under the feet on the low side. Then leveled as required from there, normally.

This is driving me bat shit, I can get it leveled on both end's side to side but when I try to level it end to end I get one end level then the other end is low, I'm using a six foot carpenter's level with my 12" starrett on top. Any more help welcome.

start on one side getting it level end to end, then level side to side on the ends. should be level then. always level to the highest point. In other words, find the highest point first and raise to there.

that is the "old carpenter" advice

start over new: screw back the casters all the way in,find the highest one,adjust the one on the same end to level, level the other end,than forget about the carpenter level and put your starret right on the cloth and level the center slate only with the two casters on the low end( you should have to give them the same amount of spin since it was leveled side to side) you should then have a pretty flat surface but you still need to check back both ends side to side and the center slate. then, and this is where i think your problem might be, check the end slates foot to head .if they don't give you the same reading as the center slate,i'm afraid you'll have to take the cloth off...
