Howdy all had a question on a rule. Its not really clearly spelled out thought maybe some of of you could help. (we play by the ipt rules)
shooter 1 breaks, break is legal and a ball is made.
shooter 1 gets his second shot and makes a solid but scratches on the same shot.
Shooter 2 gets ball in hand and the solid made stays in the pocket..
But does shooter one have possession over the solid group or is the table still open? I said the table is still open, due to the shot for possession was not legal because a fault ( the scratch in this case ) was commited. Is that right??

edit: would the outcome be any different using the BCA rules.
