Team USA wins the team match hill/hill

Not counting the team match the following players received X wins..

Mike Dechaine.. 25% win rate..Doubles, 2 losses and one win. One singles loss. 2 of his 3 doubles matches went to the hill. I felt the crucial miss on the 7 ball when he played with Corey was huge. They went from locking up the point to losing the point. The shot was at a funny angle in his defense and position was even harder.

Sky Woodward.. 40% win rate.. Doubles, 2 wins one loss, 2 singles losses. His numbers don't show how well he really played. He actually played lights out, one of the strongest 2 for team USA IMHO..

Justin Bergman.. 40% win rate.. Doubles, one win one loss, Singles 2 losses and one win.. His play too was really outstanding. He played well and seemed confident. The hook in the case game against Neils was heartbreaking. He has nothing to be ashamed of, his future should be bright.

Corey Deuel, 25% win rate.. Doubles all 3 losses, one on the hill. Singles he won his only match. Corey did not look like himself but the pressure is hard to imagine.

SVB, 50% win rate. He played 6 matches total. Doubles, he won 2 of 3 which one was on the hill. Singles he lost 2 and won 1. The big win agains Boyes was impressive. That was the best he'd looked the whole tournament.

Breaking it down, the veterans had low winning percentage and made too many unforced errors, even Shane was not himself from the looks of it. I cannot imagine how much pressure they were under.

As a spectator, watching from home I was nervous and tense on every game.

I saw a better team USA and I saw respect and heart this year. I feel as if our future is bright. Keep the chin up boys and never stop trying. Can't wait til next year. My bucket list is to get to one of these contests when playing in the USA. Maybe 2017?

Always a fan and never losing hope.. MoJoE

AtLarge's analysis is better. He weighted the performances based on points captured vs points up for grabs.

Dechaine - out of a possible 2.5 points, he scored .5 points. That is a success rate of 20%.

Woodward - out of a possible 3.5 points, he scored 1 point. Success rate of 29%.

Bergman - out of a possible 4 points, he scored 1.5. Success rate of 37.5%.

Deuel - out of a possible 2.5 points, he scored 1. Success rate of 40%.

SVB - out of a possible 4.5 points, he scored 2. Success rate of 44.4%

So, in terms of scoring the number of points they were entrusted with, the best performers, in order, were SVB, Deuel, Bergman, Woodward, and Dechaine.

I did not see his, no doubt his analysis was better but I was not trying to compete. Simply regurgitating the info supplied via the MC site.

I enjoyed the competition this year and felt team USA was not far off. I do like how Atlarge gave possible point contribution, I did not think of it that way. I saw a point, being a point whether as a double or single. Just another way to slice the pie.

Thanks for taking the time to post, I liked how you broke it down.

I too was on the edge of my chair watching. I am proud of team USA.

As Cub's fans say, "I can't wait for next year."
