I have finally purchased a pool table and have everything all setup. My new problem is noise reduction to the upper level of the house. I’ve been looking around the internet and home improvement stores but all of the “soundproofing” materials are crazy expensive. I was just wondering if anyone here has encountered a similar problem and managed to reduce the noise issue without reducing their wallets too much. I’ve thought of just filling in all of the holes in the ceiling for wires and pipes in with foam and putting in some high R value insulation. But I’m not sure if that will do the trick. Maybe someone here has a better suggestion or can share some of their ideas or experience? Any help is greatly appreciated!
