what's your table of choice for stringing racks/playing your best?
valley bar box?
unshimmed 9 foot gold crown?
diamond bar box?
9 foot diamond?

do you find it easier to play on one or the other? or do you straightshooting bastards play the same on any table? :)

personally I like the unshimmed 9 foot gold crown and the valley bar box. the gold crown gives you plenty of room to move around...not as much clustering...and nice big pockets. of course the valley bar box is legendary for it's enormous corner pockets. I haven't played on a bar box for a long time and I can't really remember how I broke on them compared to a 9 footer.

I usually don't like to shoot with anybody on any table, because they start to complain that they don't get to shoot enough, if at all. Efferin and Bustamonte have been getting on me hard about this. Archer just gets steamed. What should I do? Just miss on propose?

Diamond bar boxes are the easiest to play on. My teammate referred to it as "cheating" because it's so much easier than a valley and definitely easier than a 9 foot.

Well it certainly does depend on the size of table and size of the pockets. Personally I do much better on 9 footers because there is more room maneuver the cue ball. I've never played on a diamond but I have played 4.5 and 4.15 inch pockets, and yeah I ran racks, but I didn't string too many together, I think I had a high run of 3 racks last time I played on a very tight table.

I guess if I am playing for fun by myself or with a friend, I wouldn't mind playing on the "ego-stroker", that 9 foot table with 5 inch pockets, the one you can aim the object ball at the girl at the bar and still make it in corner pocket on the table behind you. In competition or for money I prefer to play on shimmed table with 4.5 inch pockets, because although I wont run out the match at least it caters to my strength which is shot making.

regards
