Radial Pin Tight?

Is the shaft supposed to fit tight on the pin.

It depends on the size of the pin - over the years they have differed in size by about .002 inch. I like mine to be snug to snugger but not so tight that it is difficult to screw together.

If your fit is too tight for you just take a bar of soap and scrape it across the pin leaving a little soap on the threads. Screw it together a few times until it fits to suit you. You might have to do it a couple of times to get enough soap to loosen it up enough.

Speaking of Radial pins and 'snug'.. I have some custom JPs with the radial pin. When I screwed the JP into my shaft after playing recently, it just kept on turning after it was completely in. I attempted to unscrew it and the JP came away, leaving the pin in my shaft. I got it out, but what should I do to now to make certain that the pin remains in my JP ?
Glue ? What type ?

For a joint protector you can use about any glue you have handy. A little five min. epoxy would probably be better than super glue as you would have some time to get the pin to the depth you want and so on.

Funny I had the same thing happen to me with both sets I bought.

I used Gorilla glue.
