Rankings & Pool Play for Local Tournament Tour . . .

We have a new, exciting Pool Tournament Tour launching in Georgia and South Carolina.

Man - we have the APA, the NAPA, the BCA, the VNEA, the Tap - heck, the ABC123 leagues - each with their own Ranking / Rating systems. Fargo has a database of the best of the best - but, doesn't list the ringers that will kick the average Players ass - day in and day out . . .

My questions are:

How can a non league participant access the rankings of the various Players within all the Leagues?

Is a database needed that lists "Bob" from Savannah that plays like a 10 - but, unless you know him personally wouldn't know that?

We are a new Tournament Tour. We are planning to use a certain # of Pool Play games to rank / rate the Players wanting to play in our upcoming Tournaments. Will that work in the beginning until we can rate Players ourselves based on performance?

We are a tournament designed for the "everyday" Player and a "good" Player. We are going to deny participation to the "great" Players in the base Tournaments - is that cool?

We want to provide play for the "Great" Players in our Mini Tournaments within our Main tournament. Is that cool?

We believe the everyday Player would love to play in our Main Tournaments while coming to watch the Bad Ass Players play for the BIG Bucks in the side -or- Mini tournaments.

Thoughts?
