Selling or trading my Bobcue.
Selling a beautifully made Bobcue by Bob Renis. I was told the cue was originally bought as a gift more than 35 years ago.
The shaft is made of Dyamondwood, has little flex compared to typical maple shafts.
The butt section is made from various hardwoods and what looks to be matching Dyamondwood rings at both ends of the grip section.
Just had new tip installed by David Whitsell at West Coast Cues but I don't know what he put on.
I will do my best to describe the butt section materials. Starting with the butt end:
Butt, possibly Mohogany
Rings Dyamondwood?
inlays, Ebony, Burlwood, maybe Lacewood?
Foregrip looks like Walnut.
These are just guesstimates as to the materials used.
As for defects / issues. It has a crack in the joint ring of shaft (I didn't hear anything unusual when hit), there is glue/stain from previous owners name label on end of butt. Tiny ding or two is all I saw in the butt section, nothing major. The edges of inlays can be felt, Cue would be great if refinished.
These cues are no longer being made as Bob died in 2009. Dyamondwood is no longer made as the factory burned down.
These are great hitting cues.
Cue is 22 oz and is 58" long measured end to end. Tips is about 10.5 mm.
Will accept best offer of at least $500.00. Can ship in US only if interested for actual shipping and ins. cost.
