Here is a super rare ebony South West merry widow.
Cue features a two-tonal, nicely figured macassar ebony forearm & buttsleeve. Brown phenolic collars and buttcap. Cue was sent to SW for a full refinish, with both played shafts being cleaned and refinished. With a nice black irish linen wrap. And cue has been stored in my dehumidified/dry safe all these while.
I sent the cue to Laurie in November 2021, as my buyer wanted the linen to be changed to cream color with brown speckles wrap. However, my buyer had to back out from the deal due to some personal issues. Cue is currently with Laurie, so I will have Laurie shipped directly to the buyer.
Specs:
Butt: 16.7oz
Shaft 1: 3.5oz (13mm)
Shaft 2: 3.5oz (13mm)
This cue feels well-balanced, like a 19.5oz cue, plays really solid and firm, preferably my favorite hitting "ebony" South Wests.
Condition:
Both shafts is used, but cleaned, reconditioned, refinished by South West and has never been played since then.
Butt is in excellent, refinished condition.
