Rauenzahn cues Question

Hi there,

Was wondering if anyone has tried using a Tascarella shaft on a Jerry Rauenzahn butt?

Both would be 5/16X14 SS joints,
but it looks like the insert on Tascarella shafts are shaped slightly differently that Rauenzahn's.

If it fits it fits. If your quesrion is will a piloted joint of a tascarella shaft fit a piloted insert of a rauezahn, unlikley unless the diameter of the piloted joint of the shaft is the same or smaller than the butt end. Thats why aftermarket cues are flat faced. Except for a schon, they are all the same size usually and after market shafts are offered with tje schon option. Hand made cues have idiosyncrasies. Go for a flat face

Trinacria’s post furnishes very sound advice about being careful before doing it.
It might screw together but how well it seats & whether it’s flush is another matter.
