Folks:

Check this out -- link cheat included to take you right to the rack where it happened:

[...removed link...]

Mika shoots the breakshot, then a nice post-breakshot "come with it" shot, and then gets in trouble after pocketing a ball in the side pocket. Watch what happens next... and keep watching...

J.R. Calvert and George Fels commentate.

EDIT: Deleted link to video -- didn't know this was old / sore news, and certainly don't want to tick people off...

Ok, I have to ask....WHY are you posting this...???? This is old news....are you trying to start something with someone, stirring the pot, so to speak, or is this specific incident completely new to you...??? If it offends you so much, don't dredge it up into the daylight and show it to everyone, if it does NOT offend you, why bring attention to it....???
Let this issue die.

No, this is the first time I'm seeing this -- never saw it before, honest! I was just confused at what happened.

If this is the general consensus of my post, I'll delete it. Agree or no?

Sorry for jumping on you then, I made an incorrect assumption. There have been a poster or two who seem to be in the "Anti-Schmidt" house, and I incorrectly thought you were posting this to stir up something. I apologize. As far as what happened, I cannot speak totally for Mr. Schmidt, but apparently something or other bothered him enough to take a walk, maybe calm down, etc. in the middle of the match. I can understand somewhat, I have come REAL close to breaking my semi-expensive cue before after missing a shot, and that's just league 8-ball. He eventually comes back and finishes out the match. I cannot imagine the frustration he may have felt with the pressure of a big tournament with thousands of potential dollars on the line, so I can only say that I am not sure I would have acted that way or not, because I can't completely comprehend that situation. I hope this clears this up, and once again, I am sorry for the tone of my previous post.

Thank you for understanding. I am definitely NOT "one of those" as you say -- quite the opposite, in fact. John's a great guy, and I agree it must take a lot to have gotten to him like that. I admire that he was able to talk away, cool off, and come back with a 100+ ball run like that.

Just so noone else misunderstands, I've deleted the video link in the spirit of being a good sport. If anyone wants to view the video in question, it's available on YouTube, and the incident I'm referring to is exactly 50 minutes in.

Again, apologies if this ruffled any feathers, or appears in any way other than for "scratch the head" curiosity's sake.
