Why is no one talking about this? I think it's great that they're finally attempting to end the gender bias in the game. It makes no sense that there should be separate men's and women's leagues. Women's events don't get televised, I'm sure they don't get the big sponsors like the men's events, and pay gap is BS. For a player of Reanne's ability, she should be world champion several times over now. They've taken a good first step though in giving her a spot at the Crucible, let's hope she wins her qualifying matches then goes on to win the World Championships. That will pave to way for them to hopefully eventually integrate the leagues into one.

Great effort from Reanne , especially when you think the bookies etc gave her no chance , myself included . I read earlier that Reanne was doing a piece for the BBC today so no doubt we will get to see it during the Worlds :

Ten times Ladies World Champion , due to defend the title soon so why not give her a Wildcard entry into some of the main tournaments .

Can't be much fun or a challenge to keep on winning the Ladies World Championships .

I wonder if Reanne's any good at Pool , cross the pond and play on the US Pool scene , wouldn't be the first Ladies World Snooker Champion to do so . :wink::cool::thumbup:
 
I think it was a bit hyperbolic for her to state that this match was do or die for women's snooker. But Ken is a tough draw and 10-8 is a good result. There are quite a few pros who lost by greater margins to far weaker players.

I think she can play professional snooker, and I've noticed that she keeps getting better. She looked much better yesterday than the last time I watched her play, and she played well then too.

All I'm asking for are opportunities to test myself against the best next season. I need to get used to longer matches and get comfier shoes! lol Seriously if anyone knows anyone who can help me by becoming a tour partner next season please let me know. I will work hard to help promote your company or brand in return for some help to fund the tour expenses. I'm getting so much support from the top players I really hope Barry Hearn will listen. I'm more determined than ever to help grow a professional ladies tour and challenge on the main tour against the men. x

What do you mean you would but your overseas ? The girls got balls , offer to pay half her travel fees etc . It's all about putting bums on seats as Barry Hearn would say but he wont give her a wildcard , pretty sure she would help to fill up your Snooker Halls ! :rolleyes::p:smile::wink::grin-square::cool:
