You did a real nice job on this cue! I like the antler diamond inlays, different and cool. Nice pointwork too!:D

A really nice cue, i love the wrap and color of the butt. But why did you not use the same ring at the joint as on the butt? Plus personally i dont like the joint, i think this cue would look awsome with a ivory joint and the same ring as in the butt.... But this is just me talking, hehe

Thank you for the complimentary responses.
In response to ATH, I like the look of ivory but the laws up here make it tough to get.

Really,so there is no preban ivory to purchase? And i have to say, the cue looks awesome and i think the whole of the cue is super nice. The only thing is the joint, i find it maybe a little dark? But this is probably only a taste thing and others might disagree big time with me on this point. And i guess using whale teeth and tusks from walrus dont work since they are hollow.

nice real nice hows the hit?
I think hit is a very subjective thing, not to mention the fact that my opinion is somewhat biased. I can tell you the specs though.
This cue is 62" with the shaft and butt being equal in length. The balance point is 20" from bumper, which I believe to be just right in relation to it's length. It weighs in at 20oz. This cue was built for a tall player and I think it will fit him well.

The only ivory available to us is momoth and ivory from animals native to Canada.

Well, especially with the design you used, I think the antler works very well. The cue is different and unique. I think the person you made it for is going to be very happy.....excellent job!!!!

No problem. I personally think that the antler is a brilliant choice for an inlay material where ivory might normally be used. I like the coloring of it...I think it would look amazing used into many of the darker woods like Kingwood, and dark Indian Rosewood, Cocobolo......I bet it would really be stunning into a nice piece of Bacote! I like to think I am a visionary....and perhaps you should use the antler as a 'trademark' in your cues....I think you have a market for those who wish to avoid using ivory in their cues, for various reasons. JMHO.
