Recommendation on play / break tip

I have been breaking with my playing cue recently and seem to be getting nice results. Anyone have recommendation for a tip I can use on my player that will stand up to solid, but not ferocious, breaking without mushrooming or turning too hard too fast.

Thanks!

I have been breaking with all of the Outsville Ki-Tech hardness grades and they have held up very well... Currently selling after tourney inventory at 3 tips for $20 mix and match until I am back to normal levels... I usually tell everyone to start with the soft and work up if you aren't getting as much travel as you are visualizing...

The soft I have had on my cue has been there 4-5 months and I have broken with it a fair amount... It's a whopping 2 points harder on the durometer than the day it was made..

Just for fun, If you promise to install it and report back, I'll send you what I would consider a perfect fit. I will tell you what it is after you've tried it.

I recommend these every time, but the milk duds from forum member PoolDawg8 are perfect for playing and breaking.
It's a hard tip that also grabs the cue ball very well. I shoot and break with my player too and after 6 months or regular play, and besides scuffing the tip once in a while, I haven't had to do any maintenance, trimming or reshaping whatsoever.

Pooldawg8 definitely has the process down on his duds but after 6 months you do not have the same tip you purchased... They hold up better than most tips because of his processes but at the 2 month mark they have changed in hardness by more than 10%... Do not think I am knocking them tho... For the price they are well worth it... Many tips don't make it a month before they have changed 10%.... And some of those are 5-6x more than the duds =)
