Hello,

I'll be in Danville, PA with some free time on my hands in a few weeks. I'm not familiar w/the geography of the state, and maybe need to play around w/the go play pool app a little more.

That said, any recommendations for places to play during the day (Monday/Tuesday) within 30-40 min of Danville?

I saw a post in the other forum about a place called Ashland billiards, but haven't been able to find any up to date info about that place. Any help is appreciated.

Damnit....

Even worse, I may end up moving there...

I will have a car while I'm up there, and the mrs. will be busy interviewing for a job, so like I said, anything within a 30-40 minute (more if necessary, I suppose) drive is doable.

As for my rifle, i don't think I can bring fresh game in my luggage on the way back?

The main room in Williamsport closed, the owners retired. Used to be one in the Sunbury area, but not sure anymore. If you don't have much luck here, I can put you in touch with someone who would know for sure.

Not from there but they do have apa in that area so maybe someone is a member here and could help you that way.

DJ,

I'll probably have to hit you up at some point for that name. Judging by your name, you're a straight pool player? I'm always looking for a game.

I wound up driving to Harrisburg and played at BCA Billiards. It took me about an hour and 15 min to get there, though. There is another hall just down the street, too. Guess I should have stayed there?

It looks like I'll probably be moving to Danville or Mechanicsburg area in July/August 2016, so if any new places open, let me know.

I checked both the TAP & APA websites, and it didn't look like there was much activity in the area, but there seemed to be an active APA league one or two counties over, but most host locations were bars or VFWs w/bar boxes.

I did also go to the Capitol in Bloomsburg, which had a couple of regulation tables, for free, but were a little beat up.

If anyone has any suggestions that I should check out next time i'm up there, i'd love to hear them.

Well if you have a choice...move to Mechanicsburg.

You won't be far from a lot of different places to play plus there is sprint car racing close by.

And there are tournaments not far from Mechanicsburg.
