I am about to put Simonis 860HR on an 8ft Valley (coin op, but modified to not trap balls). This is not my dream table, but it is all I can afford right now.
I want to know what you suggest I do to improve the performance.
I want to know what you suggest I do to improve the performance.
- I plan to add sound insulation inside the cabinet to muffle the noise. Easy enough.
- The table currently plays "long" compared to standard diamond diagrams. I have heard of Ridgeback rails. Comments? Anyone recommend other rails?
- Should I shim the pockets, and if so, can I use sheet rubber found at Home Depot?
- Can I / should I attempt to deepen the pocket shelf? Can that even be done? How much, and is there a recommended way? I am experienced with bondo, epoxy, routers, etc.
- What glue do you recommend I use for the cloth? Valleys use unbacked slate, but you probably knew that.
