My friend, just for your information, Kevin made his first laminated shaft in 1990 for a snooker cue, four years before he ever saw a Predator shaft. He developed his quick release joint in 1989 and it is in no way similar to the Layani joint, and he is not at this time working on a copy of the Layani joint.
He makes a very fine cue as does Layani. Don't believe anything you hear or half of what you see. I would say that your cue repair man and Layani dealer is somewhat biased.
Just to set the record straight, Don P.

Thanks Don, Lesson well learned.I had just received the email( from my cue repairman)telling me about Kevins doings shortly before I posted. It was all fresh in my mind.Personally I don't like gossip or hearsay either, so I respectfully apologize. Thanks for setting things straight. RJ
