Visitation for Jim "Redeye" Reed is Friday, March 23, noon-6p at Manuel Memorial Funeral Home, 421 W 5th Ave, Gary, Indiana, 46402.

I'm so sad to hear of Red Eye's passing. We got to ref together one summer for a week in Chicago. Every morning I would pick him up, and we would go out for breakfast before we had to go work the tournament. We stayed friends for a long time. He was always such a wonderful and happy person to be around. I will miss him dearly

My sincere condolences to the family. I knew him from his refereeing here at the ISPA Tournamens for the last few years. Great guy and a very fair and knowledgable referee. He certainly will be missed. He was always good for a good joke and always in a good mood.

The pool world will miss Red Eye for sure.

He was so cute, when he would phone home to his wife, he would say I have to call Ma. When I would talk to Red Eye on the phone, his wife was always a pleasure too. I hope his family is doing as best as they can. I wish them all much love.
