refinish question

i have a very nice 4pt southwest style cue made by Eddie Faris.

The cue has a black linen wrap on it now.

I have always prefered a wrapless cue and I'm thinking about getting it refinished muecci style with the finish covering the wrap.

I have two questions. Would doing this hurt the resale value of my cue in any way? And, who would be a good pick to refinish it that way?

thanks.

Where is it that you live? I would try to locate someone local to you.

1) If it was an actual South West . . . Maybe , maybe not.

2) Ryan at Ratcues/Muellers does a fantastic job on exactly that job.

There are many people on this forum alone that could do a great job regardless of what type of wrap you choose.
I would recommend leather over a lacquered wrap.
A good leather wrap could increase the value of the cue.
The lacquered wrap certainly won't help it, and could narrow the market a little if you ever decide to sell it..JMO
