Refinishing my gold crown one and cannot get the feet off? When I try to turn the base it seems like the screw is going to strip. I am going to try some spray for it. Any advise? Also the feet are removable right?

Thanks, Jesse

p.s. anyone know what a 1987 rick chudy 4 pt 4 veneers would be worth?

If the question is does a GC I have leveler feet? Then the answer it no, it does not. I can't remember for sure, but you may have to go in through the opening on the top of the leg to remove the feet. Maybe someone else can shed a little more light on the subject.

If it is a gold crown 1, it has a wood screw holding the foot on. stilll comes up from the bottom of the leg.I would say you have a adjustable leg
and it is just frozen in the insert. keep soaking them with some penetrating oil. The insert is only held in place by two small wood screws,if you force it out. you can usually reposition the insert and still screw it back in. sometimes it is easier on a workbench to free up the insert from the leg

Thanks!! I will be able to work on it tonight. I have it sanded completely and amd amazed how nice the wood is.

When I refinished my GC 1, I discovered that one of the foot lag screws had broken off. While removing the other 3 feet I twisted off a second lag screw. Bought all new lag screws and just ran them in alongside the broken off remnants.
