Remove SuperPad interior, replace with Tubes?

Old 2 x 4 case with very thick padded interior.
What do I need to know removing the guts?

Should I just start ripping?
Pry the bottom open and pull?

I'm going to replace padding with pvc tubes.

memo: high density poly sleeve appears not oval mold.
Looks to be round, forced in.

It may even be attached to case.

frankly speaking, the case was trashed, found it floating in lake.
Looks like a Justis, it's not.

the interior is inside poly sleeve,
poly sleeve is wall to wall inside case.

There's no give at all, spring tension of poly sleeve is very strong.
Leather is thick, but it's medium grade,
looks worthwhile to restore it.
So.......here we are

Ususally you can just pull the entire tube out, material and all by grabbing the material in the tube and giving it a yank. I know my 2x4 tube cases fit a 2x4 JB interior so maybe this will work for you. If you can get it out and the tubes don't fit you can always put the old one back in.

I'll start with it tonight.
Open the back, pull the bottom out, hope I don't run in to alot of glue.

I used heat to evaporate the lake water, lost 1/2"inch length and I don't know how much circumstance is gone but it sure did get skinny.

I wouldn't take the bottom off if it was me, I'd pull it out of the top

If you are set in deciding to do this, you might want to consider thinner wall tubing than PCV. I had a buddy do one, it was a 3x5 case, and he used thinner wall tubes that are used in golf bags for club separation. He hot-melted them together to get a strong bundle and specific shape, then slid that whole assembly into his case. Not as nice as a new one but certainly lighter than a PVC alternative might be, and it did the job he needed it to do.

When I have shipped cues inside suitcases, I sometimes use the same tubing to protect the cue, with a felt sleeve liner from Predator, provided I don't want to ship my entire cue case.

There are 2 polly vinyl cylinders lining the case wall and then the super pad interior.
