The Reno Open is starting today. Does anyone know where we'll be able to get brackets, updates and results?
I think I've been spoiled by Shane at Platinum.

If someone were willing to travel to the UPA tournaments and the bigger tournaments like this and do what Shane did... I'd be more than happy to pay a subscription fee to their website to help pay for it.nineballcc said:The Reno Open is starting today. No ma'am...that be my new job! All I have in life are two fish that my neighbor could take care of.... Just invest in a laptop, find someone (hint hint) that I know that can set up the website and see what happens. I'm sure there would be more interest than just the two of us, but not enough to make a living at it. If there were enough to make a living at it, I would do it in a heartbeat! But I don't think it would generate enough to cover the travel exspenses...nineballcc said:That may be the perfect new full time job for me. Of course Timberly - you and I may be the only subscribers!

I've got quite a few friends playing in it as well and would love to be able to follow it. I spoke to one of them about 4 hrs ago and they said that the first round was supposed to start at 2 (1 hr ago from now) and that at that time, they hadn't finished posting the brackets. Sounded like they were running a little behind or at least cutting it close. I just hate calling anyone out there because I never know when they're playing or sleeping etc... I just have to sit here patiently and hope that one of them is thoughtful enough to call with an update.Salamander said:Let's bump this thread up...
I'd really like to know the brackets and have reports as well. Know quite a few people playing in it. Hope someone is able to take the time and post the rather large brackets.
Regards,
Doug

This cracks me up. For some reason AZ posted an article that said there was a "lack of pros" at the event. Sounds like there are some heavyweights there to me !! Anyone know if Kim Davenport is in attendance?lunchmoney said:I got a call and my friend lost to Basavich 9-2. He told me that Gabe Owen, Jeremy Jones, Santos Sambajon, Buddy Hall and Mike Davis are there in addition to Parica and Danny. He is going to call again later this evening and tell me some more names. He did say that Archer and Alex P. were not there.

This tournament is not what it once was, it used to be full of champions, there are a few heavyweights there. Its just nothing like it used to be.gulfportdoc said:This cracks me up.
