Repair of Its George Sharkskin case

I have a unique Its George Case made from Shark skin and one of the accessory zippers is broken. Before I risked taking it to a generic luggage repair shop, I wondered if anyone had suggestions of who might handle a repair job like this? I'm in Dallas so anyone in the general area would be great, but I'm happy to ship it out as well since it's a nice piece of history.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Good Luck, I've asked this question before and the answers fall into two camps:

1. reach out to case maker X: When I do this I typically get told that their workload for new cases prevents them from doing any kind of repair work or they're just not interested in it. I've probably reached out to eight or nine trying to find one that would do it and currently, I'm 0/8...

2. Generic Shoe/Leather Repair: I just don't have anyone in my area who can do this level of work so everyone I called does simple shoe repair but can't fix a case tear or do a zipper replacement.

I feel your pain...

Eeek, that's not encouraging, lol. I have a cobbler in Dallas who can probably handle the repair but I thought a case maker would be best....

Reach out to Dover saddlery in Houston Texas (281-890-5691) ask them for the contact numbers of the craftsmen that do their saddle repairs. I got one of them to repair a case for me a few years ago.

Great idea, thank you!

King T .... is right! Any Saddlery Makers, Leather Craftmen ( Check with Tandy Supplier, Tandy Leather Dallas - 27 Craft store in Mesquite, Texas)

When I purchased my Instroke case (favorite case for price point to quality ratio, especially the nice 3x7 organized layout), I got a card that listed the following info for repairs:

Instroke Repair Dept.
11174E Nebo Hill Road
Nevada, MO 64772
888-806-0275

You might give them a quick call and ask them if they take on non-Instroke cases for repair?
