When replacing threaded capped ferrule,how much space should be left between tenon end and cap of ferrule? Using 5 minute epoxy how long should you wait before trimming ferrule? thank you.

Space should be as close to zero as possible. Face off the tenon and make sure you get it flush. Drill a relief hole.
