Adam Smith wins Steddy Neddy Stop
The 2nd stop of the 2005 Steddy Neddy Motor City 9 Ball Open was held on October 15, 2005. Twenty Four players showed up but only 22 made up the double elimination tournament field which ended in the wee hours of the 3 am.
Players from Ohio and Canada came out to make play against the Motor City group. Adam Smith from Clinton Twp. Michigan played the A side along with Bob Talford of Michigan, while Luke Jacko, John Binion, Roger Chao and Marty Zawinski played the B side pending elimination.
On the winner's side, Talford played smart and tough and flew through the field while Chao defeated Bruce Russell and Junior Art Millington only to meet up with Talford to move to the B side. Zawinski defeated Ned Noon and then was defeated by Adam “GQ” Smith going to the B side. Adams fought for the winner's side and was defeated by Talford 9 – 7 only to meet up with him again in the finals. Luke Jacko stayed strong on the B side beating Junior Art Millington Roger Chao, and Zawinski meeting up with Smith and being defeated 9 to 5. The final race between Bob Talford and Adam Smith ended in Adam defeating Bob twice to win the tournament.
We look forward to seeing all of the players again in late November early December for the next stop. We also look forward to seeing Danny Barnes and Craig McPartlin from Ohio as well.
