Review: Madison Bob Cue

Ok so I took a risk and ordered a cue I knew nothing about except some small comments that I read on this forum and on billiards digest about the cue hitting really hard. Turns out I made a good decision. I ordered a sneaky pete and let me tell you the thing has a hard hit, very solid feel and my hit is alot more accurate now. I would say the cue has a hit similiar to a tim scruggs/bob frey sneaky pete. I"ll post some pics below here is the mans website his name is bob griffin aka madison bob

i had a madison bob cue once, finally sold it. it was basically a break cue, and it did hit real hard.

however, Bob likes to do things his way. the cue was not the weight i ordered, wrong joint, kept coming loose even after he tried to fix it, he worked on a couple of other cues and didnt do what i asked him. if you deal with Bob, make sure you are 110% specific with him, and that he does what you want.

however, i believe my thoughts are in the minority. most feel he does excellent work, and as his cues get more widespread he will gain more recognition for his work.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get what you wanted. I wasn't very specific on what i wanted in the cue besides the weight, length, tip. I am very satisfied with his taper and I didn't ask him for any ringwork but it came out really nice.
