hello everyone.i have been following the recent post.i don't wish to stir pot,but here we go.i have had 2 dealings with aaron.one a trade.the other a refinish on a cue.i recieved it back just before all of this stuff started.i will give ,for all those that care,an honest review of my cue as i see it,and of the dealings.
first the cue.i gave aaron a cue that needed to have the finish redone.we both knew that going in.sent him the cue.discussed options, told him i wasn't in a hurry as it was not my playing cue.aaron kept me informed about what was going on for the most part.as much as i personnely needed.he told me about the signature on my cue before he started, after he looked at.ended up,signature couldn't be saved.no big deal to me,not really a collector cue,and easy to tell what it is.i told him to put on lizzard wrap that he saw fit,his choice.reason why you might ask,i trusted his judgment.he had the cue and been around cues, knows what goes.my choice to give him option.he did tell me though before he did it,(didn't have to).the other reason was because i got a cue from him in a trade that he had put a lizzard wrap on,and it was nicer than the wrap (leather)than the cue i sent him,and it is a highly respected cue maker.
got cue back from aaron.looked great.this wrap, like the other, was awsome.the finish it self, looked great also.i did have a small problem,a couple of pin head marks in the clear, that if i probably hadn't read all these post,i would have never seen.i had to look at them on an angle ,with a light.as minute as they were,i did pm him.he said i'll take care of it,no problem, shipping on him.like i said,i was literally putting under a microscope, and i bet brand new,top cue makers, don't give their product the kind of look i did.
communication.never once had a problem getting ahold of him.cell phone or pm.i never met aaron, dealt with him those 2 times and i would have him do mywork for me again.most important,he stood by his work, and would take care of any problem i saw fit,at his cost.that is how you get a reputation.for good product, good service, and taking care of a problem.a long forgotton combination.this is about my dealings, and my opinions, and in no way were put up as stirring the pot.just a review of a new product, from a new person (new friend) ,from a new company, and with those quality's ,a company that will be around .problems happen, and the cream always rises to the top.
