14.1 is a strategy game I just played dead eye dan in the simulator and its awful.

The game is still fun but dead eye dan is not a 14.1 high ball runner.

A computer routine could start with identifying balls that can be pocketed. How the computer selects which shot to play will have to depend on prediction positions and weighted for continuing a runout. Avoiding dead ends will be the main routine, when it fails play safes.

I wonder how much money there is in pool videogames. I'd guess that anything outside Miniclip 8-ball must struggle to wash its face.

Here's an idea: What if you built machine learning software into a video game in such a way that players could provide feedback on what the computer did, and a centralized algorithm would be rolled out to players via online updates.

The machine learning could also include analysis of what the human did, to create decision policies, and what outcomes the computer achieved with (partially randomized) decisions.

Maybe modern computer games already do this though, who knows!
