Review on a Custom Sample Cue.

Hail Mary Shot

I'm just done trying out a custom sample done by a builder a few weeks ago. the cue is a hardrock maple cored amboyna burl butt and forearm with a hardrock maple handle. the finishing is decent/good although not perfect due to a few residues left on the joint, a bit of cleaning up would have made the cue nicer. other than that, the aesthetics for me is nice. the weight though is around 19 which for me is light and it is well-balanced. I paired it with a different CF shaft with a Pro/Soft tip during a few days of trial. it took awhile for me to adjust due to it having a weight that I'm not accustomed. it didn't help that the table I regularly played on has a new 760 cloth. so the ball was running most of the time longer or a few inches short. the hit though is solid and found the cue to be excelling with finesse shots than power. had do dial down stroke. other than that, the cue for me is very good in terms of playability and great for aesthetics, I would have preferred the handle to be wrapless though or more of a one piece. forgot to add, the cue is quiet.
