hit is very subjective .. and you haven't mentioned the level of details on either cues ..
I have a Mottey with piloted ivory joint .. it hits great and the workmanship on the cue is outstanding. I prefer the Mottey with piloted ivory joint than SS but I'm not a fan of SS joint.
Similar level TAD is more expensive ... a lot of my friends love TAD. I have a couple of 'em for collection but I generally don't play with them as it hits very different from majority of my other cues. Most people tend to like older TAD over newer ones.
Having said above, I think Mottey cues are more easily obtainable .. as he's still in his prime. TAD .. well he ain't getting any younger and it's not as easy to find a TAD with 4 or more points and if you do, you are going to pay some serious $$$$.
Oh ya .. either cues are going to hit fairly different from your Capone .. my Capone used to have more softer hit.
