Revo Repair Question

Hello All. I purchased a highly discounted Revo with a pretty large ding in it and was wondering what you would use to try and fill it to smooth it out? I already tried basic epoxies and "super glues" but haven't found a solution I am happy with. Any ideas are appreciated. Thank you.

Carbon fiber ding in shaft

I have a small ding. Thinking about taping it off and applying a smooth coat of JB Weld and then razor blade it smooth after semi dry. Any thoughts?

pictures are necessary in order to assist. Both before you tried to fix it, and after.....so people know what was done and therefore how to proceed
