I do a little tip work for folks in our local pool hall. Nothing major, just tip replacements and shaping, but I've been doing it for years. At this point almost all the jobs I do are on carbon fiber shafts and most of those are REVOs. I've had two separate incidents in the last couple months where someone has brought me a REVO shaft where the tip had popped off. In both cases it wasn't the tip that popped off but the silencer plate.
These were both basically new shafts, so in both cases I told them to contact Predator for repair. It looks like it would be a simple glue job, but I don't want to void their warranty. Is this something I can fix myself or am I right to have the owner send the shaft back for repair? Can you buy the silencer pads?
