Just announced. Oct 16-19.

Takes place from Thursday thru Sunday. Last year the event ran from Tuesday to Friday. Getting the whole weekend involved obviously a good thing for attendance and viewership.

The event also takes place four days after the final of the Hanoi Open, so more time for the players to catch their breath. Last year, the event began just two days after the Hanoi final. You could see some of the players were a bit wiped.

Team Asia still mostly up for grabs. Yapp looks like a shoo-in after winning the UK Open. Chua and Ko Pin Yi also have a leg up, but they need to rack up some points this year. Plenty of events to come.

If any Asian player gets to the finals of the WPC, they would also likely lock up a spot.

Team Euro far from settled too, though it would be shocking if Filler isn't one of them.

No word yet on whether there will be player captains. A sneaky way for MR to control one-fifth of each team.

The press release doesn't mention Team Europe.

I wonder if we're going to see Team Asia vs Rest of World?
MR has not created a separate ranking list for Europe for the Reyes. My understanding is that the same ranking for the Mosconi would apply.

I would guess that the wild cards won't be the same for each event, though.

Team USA also wide open. Fedor's point gains from the WPC are gone. He sits at $23,650. Styer is next at $15,000. SVP in 6th.

A good chance for someone to sneak in with a good run in one of the majors.
