Richard Black cue dated September 14, 1979

This is a Richard Black cue dated September 14, 1979. It is very simple, it is natural tone Birdseye without any stain. It comes with two shafts, both with ivory ferrules, and the cue has never been played with. I spoke with Mr. Black himself and he told me if he was going to make one like it right now he'd have to ask for the whole $1200 up front. I'm not asking that much.

This cue is pretty special not just because its early, its also in the fact that Richard dont normally sign his cue so near to the joint. And being mint since 1979 is pretty interesting...
 
Unless he is making it making it for somone in particular he just signs and dates it with the year only. Richard Black '79, would be what this looked like if it wasn't custom ordered. I've got a heck of a find you are right there!
