What are your comments about them? I was thinking about buying one, made in 1993, says it is in excellent condition with just a few minor dings around the butt area.

lot a people like his hit,,,lot a people don't.

i think he's the most artistic of the cuemakers, and the one most willing to take chances in designs. a lot of RB cues in jersey because of mizerak.

it depends what you want one of his cues for. if you want to buy one as a collector, and your waiting for the cue to go up in value, you can't lose. richard black is a fine cuemaker. if you want to play with one, and do not care about the value, why not go with a more modest cue? or if your buying it for sheer looks, i recommend comparing it with a chudy. chudy is in my opinion the greatest cuemaker in the world, when it comes to sheer beauty.

You can email him and he will tell you who he made the cue for and what it cost original and what he would charge to make it now. He keeps very good records.

There was an argument on rec.sport.billiard a couple of years ago going on about what his cues started at. This one poster kept saying he (RB) wouldn't make any cue under $2200 (or there about). Richard chimed in and said his cues started at $850, LOL. That sort of threw cold water on the argument.
