Richard Black Custom ordered, Signed & Dated January 14, 2003

Both Shafts are original w/ Ivory ferrules, shafts are dead straight, and I mean DEAD straight. If they haven't warped the slightest bit in 20+ years, they aren't changing.

Spoke to Mr. Black in August about this cue, he still makes it, cost would be just over $6200 with 2 shafts and Ivory ferrules.... but..... he wont be making it himself, and it won't be signed or dated either, at 85 he can't really work anymore nor does he have the steady hands to sign/date cues accordingly. If you want a NEW Richard Black cue that was made by the BCA Hall of Famer, actually made by him, signed and dated by him, this is it. Cue is mint, pristine, and its value will most certainly go up over time. CUE is Stunning as pictures depict and is pristine. Price is $5400 shipped/insured 2nd Day Air, price is not negotiable, no trades, not even $5300. You can order a copy from him as stated above but wont be ever touched by him or signed for more $. Richard Black made alot of cues, if you see my prior postings, I have sold more then 9 Richard Blacks since January, actually 13 in TOTAL, I have had alot of Richard Blacks and this is the last one and the best one, not many cues regardless of who made them stay dead DEAD straight, not even after a few years. Again, I'm not taking offers, price is as listed, if it doesn't sell, for what I want, I'll raise the price in a few years and sell it then, rather keep it and look at it, its beautiful.

Cue is located here in South FL, Ft Lauderdale and can be seen in person. Thank you for your interest, will be listing on EBAY for more then AZ members here just because I have an impeccable feedback/reputation of 900+ Transactions 100% positive feedback as a reference for my reputation as here I have done more transactions then my feedback represents. Ebay pricing is more due to ebay fees/commission, etc, but world sees it. Username, same as here. (kidcuban21)

Beautiful cue. You say he still makes it but, he won’t be making it himself?
Did he tell you who is helping him make it?

Yes from what I understand there is more than one person working for him, but he stopped making them awhile ago. Around the time he started just putting the RB logo on the butt cap.

Richard signed all, or that’s what he’s said, his cues but only dated his cues
when it was a custom ordered cue. He’s made a lot of cues over the years &
his cue making has been admired by pool players and his cue making peers.

His first cues that he made in the 70s were not signed or dated. He thought he wasn't a good enough cuemaker to put his name on them. It was later on in 78/79 that he was getting his name around/recognized that he started signing them.

He also made a solid flat stainless steel joint when he first started. He quickly abandoned it and instead embraced
George Balabushka’s fondness for the 5/16x14 piloted steel joint. Most cue makers change something after they start
their careers. As an example, look at the logo that Eddie Cohen started with that I thought was unique and cool. Richard was a little concerned about people buying his cues they intended to resell so that’s another reason he only signed RB cue but also included the date on a custom order. He answered the phone in his shop and was generous with his time even if you weren’t one of his customers.

Owning a signed and dated Richard Black cue, even though you aren’t the original customer, makes it more special.
