"O'Sullivan, 35, pulled out citing neck and back injuries suffered on the first leg of his journey to Australia."

WTF??? never heard of this in my life, wasn't exactly travelling on horseback.....

maybe he caught an STD in Bangkok....

Wasn't this supposed to be a big step towards globalization? Time for snooker to lay down the law with this guy, in or out, period....

They don't need to. As more ranking tournaments are located in diverse areas, he'll begin dropping further down the rankings as he skips tournaments. He'll drop out of the top 16 and I expect from there he'd quit. I can't see Ronnie going through the qualifiers, playing infront of 6 people.

If however, there are enough tournaments in the future that he can be choosey and he can play well enough to keep his top 16 ranking, I don't see the issue really. The top golfers and top tennis players certainly do not play every event.
