Ok , I know this subject has been tossed around a few times. Im looking at houses and trying to determine how much room I would need for a 9 foot table. Can anyone let me know what size room they have there table in? How did they determine what space needed etc? Thanks in advance

How long is your cue and how wide are the rails? If it's 58" you'll need that amount PLUS some backstroke room in order not to whack the butt into the wall while a ball is on the rail. Therefore about 5' on each side of the table.
Or...19x14 1/2 feet. That is unless you're willing to use a shorty cue somewhere and have no room for anything else.

I'm having another house being built soon and am having a 22x18 room just for the pool table and other furniture. It's not going to be THAT spacious, but it'll suffice and be comfortable.

just make it easy on yourself, if you can find a house with a 20x20 room. put the table, a t.v. and some chairs in there.

if you're buying a house, why just settle for the minimum? unless you're in a area where a large house is considered 2500 sq ft.
