Does anyone know anything about two very strong players:
Roy Ruffin fron up state New York and John "Spike" Wilds" from N.O., La. ?
I played both of them many years ago but lost contact.
 
Spike is alive and well. He now resides in the great piney forests just northeast of New Orleans. He seldom out competes unless I coax him from his cocoon with promises of tough competition, fun and camraderie.

This is the strangest thing but I just got home and had an e-mail stating John Wilds added me as a friend on FaceBook. That is something.
John helped out with the making of that pool movie (the Shooting Gallery) that was filmed in N.O., La. He & I had some great Straight pool matches against each other over the years.

Thanks. I had the honor of playing Roy many years ago out in Vegas for the International Law Enforement Straight Pool Championshipe and was lucky enough to come out on top. I have a few newspaper articles on him and found him to be a gentlemen all around. Is he still playing in tournaments?
 
Roy Ruffin lives in Atlanta Ga,He can be found in Duluth Ga at The Pool Room.
I don't think he shoots turni's anymore.He always shooting one pocket or straight pool.
