I’m not sure which cloth is out first, which is better.
I have the RP installed at home and I like it. But I’m a beginner (start playing 3C and only score once in a while).
When I went to Colombia, I got introduced to Buffalo (they are not made in Colombia). They also have Royal in their cloth name - Royal Plus - claimed to be 100% synthetic as well.
If you’re not financially affiliated with neither of these, and have experienced playing on both of these, I’d like to hear some opinions.
I bought some of the Buffalo’s and plan to install one soon to do some basic tests to compare and contrast. My tests would probably very basic to begin with. If anyone has some scientific methods that don’t break my bank nor too hard to get set up, please let me know.
For now, I’m thinking of just shooting manually (a player using a cue stick) at low, medium, and strong force to compare total distance. Then I’d set up a ramp at different heights (L, M, H) so a ball can roll down on, also for measuring the total travel distance.
This would be done without heater of course, on the same table, same cushion, Same temperature.
This would only test the cloth speed, not their durability.
If & when that’s finished, I’ll report back up here.
In the meantime, if anyone have any data, pls share.
Thanks
