buddy of mine and i play every sunday.... no money, just good clean practice and fun.... well we're playing 8 ball on 9' brunswick with ball return and plastic guards in pocket... his 2 rolls in front of my 14 and i figure i'm close enough but there is a little angle so it's practice and i go for the roll in... well the 14 hits the 2, deflects a little and the 2 balls jam together, i mean jam together hanging over the hole.... about 2/3 of the ball is past the end of the pocket and into the hole... we laughed hysterically and then asked each other what we should do... <we play pretty much BCA rules when we play> i thought we'd spot the 2 balls but neither of us knew so just for fun we left them... so couple times we were going to combo into the stuck balls and they are so stuck the combo ball just deflects right off the 2 stuck ones.... it was kinda funny so i got a straight in shot and slammed them in...
but realistically if this was some serious match- what would be the call in BCA or any other forum of rules for that matter....

any enlightenment out there??

Here's the BCA rule...

"3.33 JAWED BALLS
If two or more balls are locked between the jaws or sides of the pocket, with one or more suspended in air, the referee shall inspect the balls in position and follow this procedure: he shall visually (or physically if he desires) project each ball directly downward from its locked position; any ball that in his judgement would fall in the pocket if so moved directly downward is a pocketed ball, while any ball that would come to rest on the bed of the table is not pocketed. The balls are then placed according to the referee’s assessment, and play continues according to specific game rules as if no locking or jawing of balls had occurred."

So, in your example it sounds like they both would have been pocketed balls since they were so deep.
